Renegade Kustoms Customer Profile

Ray S. and “Starscream”

My auto interest started back in1982 when I bought my first Camaro on my 21st birthday. It was a 2.8L V-6   Berlinetta with a blue crushed velour interior. About myself, well married with 4 children and retired from the US Navy after 25 years of service.

I ordered my current Camaro, a 2010 2SS/RS in Red Jewel Tintcoat from the factory in May of 2009 and it was delivered on July 9, 2009, and is the only paint color that GM charged extra for that year.

I started modifying my rod, within 3 months of ownership and have not stopped yet. Seeing the work of Renegade Kustoms online and some fellow club members with their tricked out lights made me decide. I had been against adding lights for years but finally gave in.

My cars name used to be Charlene for several years, but recently I decided to rename her Starscream. I took a lot of head from fellow club members about performing a sex change on my car, LOL, but I was changing various items with a Decepticon theme and my favorite Decepticon was Starscream. Everybody that has a Camaro wants to be an Autobot, not me, I wanna be the bad guy!

I have entered many car shows, with only 1 trophy so far, a Top75 at the 2nd Annual Camaro Gathering in North Carolina.

Mods so far include:

Interior mods include painted trim and console panel; Billet A/C vents; Billet knobs and covers; footwell lighting; Billet SS kick panels; front and rear dash covers, and red dome lighting.

For the future, I would like to get an ACS Composite hoodliner with Starscream graphics, and some door panel wraps, also with Starscream graphics.
